As we move through the middle of Term 2, students at HI Hub are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences, outdoor play, hands-on exploration, and the development of positive friendships within our supportive community. It has been a wonderful term of growth, laughter, curiosity, and connection, with students continuing to build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging each day.

Vincent delivered another outstanding performance, running a time close to his previous Districts result despite much harsher conditions. The heavy rain made the course difficult, forcing runners to walk parts of it. His effort paid off, earning him a place on the Met West team and qualification for the State Championships. Congratulations, Vincent! 🎉🏃♂️

BC Hub stepped back in time with C Block classes taking an exciting visit to the Beenleigh Historical Village, experiencing what life was like in the past. Meanwhile, B Block learners enjoyed hands-on play and sensory experiences with historical artefacts like old clothes and toys, following a virtual excursion.
A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers who made the day so memorable — from the old fire truck and wash shed, to the school house, museum, and fascinating displays throughout the village. What an incredible way to bring history to life for our learners and connect with the community!

This fortnight our students will be engaging in lessons to support our behaviour expectation - I keep my hands and feet to myself. They will practice what it looks like at different times and in different places and how to use their hands and feet safely.
