⏳ National child safety training – 2 months to go!
All people who work or volunteer in an ECEC service regulated under the National Quality Framework must complete foundation training by 27 August 2026.
Now is a good time to:
✅ check staff can access Geccko
✅ encourage people to log in early to sort any access issues
✅ plan how your team will complete the training over the coming months.

⚠️ Important safety update for ECEC providers, services, parents and carers
🚫 Baby bottle self-feeding devices are now banned due to serious safety risks.
If you have one at your ECEC service or at home, stop using it and dispose of it safely so it can't be used again.
To keep infants safe during feeding:
👶 Always stay with the infant
🍼 Never prop bottles
🚼 Never leave infants to feed unsupervised

📃 Everyone working or volunteering at your ECEC service needs to be recorded in the Worker Register on NQAITS, including agency staff and non-educator staff like your cooks and admin staff.
✅ The Worker Register must be updated within 14 days of any change.
