šŸ† Introducing a new CSDAA Life Member - Greg Berry šŸ†

Greg Berry.....the man, the myth, the legend.

With more than 65 years in the concrete cutting industry, Greg drilled his first hole at just six years old. He’s not an easy man to summarise, because his career has never been ordinary.

Many know Greg Berry for pushing the absolute limits of what concrete cutting could achieve.
• 50-metre-deep, 600mm diameter cores? Easy.
• Carving walkways beneath Sydney Harbour? Easy.
• Custom core barrels manufactured by a submarine builder? That’s when you know you’re operating at the highest level.

But Greg’s legacy isn’t just measured in extraordinary feats.

He has progressed the industry for everyone, creating opportunities, advancing machinery, and shaping the techniques we now take for granted. From introducing wire sawing to Australia, to the development of the modern wall saw, to working directly with manufacturers worldwide to evolve diamond tools, Greg has helped define how our industry operates today.

Greg is still active, consulting to businesses around the world and passing on the knowledge that can’t be learned on the fly, the lessons only decades of experience can teach.

A true pioneer. A lifelong contributor.
And unquestionably, a legend of our industry.

šŸ“£Introducing a new CSDAA Life Member - Phil Rowden šŸ“£

Since 1988, Phil has been a respected and influential part of the Australian diamond tool industry. He first got his foot in the door with Dembicon in 1988, before going on to establish APK Diamond Tools in 1993, demonstrating early on his drive, initiative, and deep understanding of the industry.

Phil would later progress to become the General Manager of Tyrolit Australia, a position he continues to hold today. In this role, he has been instrumental in strengthening relationships across the sector, supporting contractors, and helping drive innovation and professionalism within the Australian market.

Beyond his professional achievements, Phil has also given generously of his time as a long-standing member of the Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association of Australia committee. His contributions have helped shape the direction of our industry, always with a focus on safety, standards, and the long-term sustainability of concrete sawing and drilling in Australia.

Phil’s career is defined not only by leadership roles and business success, but by his genuine commitment to the people and businesses that make up our industry. His knowledge, integrity, and willingness to give back have made a lasting impact, and he is widely respected as both an industry leader and a trusted supporter of the trade.

What a Demo Day!! A huge thank you to our incredible CSDAA Supplier Members .diamond.tools.australia .australia and Reflect Inspection Services who generously shared their time and expertise with us today. It was a fantastic opportunity to see new products in action, learn from your product knowledge demonstrations and enjoy the fun extras (yes the giveaways were a hit!) Today was just as valuable for everyone who attended - bringing together like minded people, great conversations and the chance to network directly with our Suppliers, asking questions and building stronger connections. We’re so grateful for the collaboration, energy and enthusiasm that made the day such a success! We’re already looking forward to the next one!
