In the lead up to ANZAC Day AVCAT CEO, Len Russell, attended another Commemoration Service at Club Five Dock. Greeted by a wonderful display of artwork created by the primary school children from the surrounding area, the crowd proceeded to march up the main streets of Five Dock, concluding at the Five Dock Park. The service was led by Mr Robert Ridge (President, Five Dock RSL Sub-Branch) and conducted by Rev Trevor Young, Royal Australian Army Reserve Chaplain, with guest speaker, Group Captain Jason Lind BEng (Aero) Mgmt. Music by the NSW Police Band.

In the lead-up to ANZAC Day 2026 AVCAT CEO, Len Russell, attended the ANZAC Commemoration Ceremony at the Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway. The morning was initially filled with the sounds of Piper Graham Jewell from the Burwood RSL Sub-Branch Pipes and Drums. Guest speaker, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK AC (Mil) CVO MC (Retd), 26th Governor-General of Australia spoke about the service, sacrifice and mateship of those past servicemen and servicewomen as well as the service of our current defence forces. Wreaths were laid along the path leading up to and including the Memorial’s Centrepiece.
