A lovely look back at last week’s BOPAG Connections in the Community event in Amersham, with a few photos capturing the day.💙

It was wonderful to meet local residents, chat with families and join so many charities, community groups and support organisations helping people live well across Buckinghamshire.

We were also delighted to welcome singer and actress Anita Harris, who opened the event! 😊

Friendly gatherings like this give people the chance to discover helpful resources, find support and explore new ways to stay active, independent and connected to their community.

A special thank you to everyone who attended our "Staying Connected at Home" presentation and took part in the Q&A session. It was great to hear your questions, share experiences and have such thoughtful conversations about staying connected and supported at home.

Providing outstanding dementia care means continually investing in the professionals who deliver it.💙

We’re proud to be introducing enhanced dementia care training for our care professionals, building on their knowledge and experience to support our clients with confidence, understanding and compassion.

For us, training is an essential part of providing the standard of care our clients and their families deserve. It helps our team better understand each person’s experience of dementia, adapt to changing needs and support their choices, independence and everyday wellbeing.

It also matters to families. Knowing their loved one is supported by skilled, knowledgeable care professionals can bring reassurance and help them feel more confident about the care they receive.

Last week, our founder Trudi Scrivener was delighted to attend the Tangent Group Friendship Lunch in High Wycombe, joining around 40 women from different branches.😇

Trudi spoke about her role as an Alzheimer's Society Ambassador, supporting the charity through influencing, fundraising and raising awareness.

Through their support and expertise, Ambassadors help shape a better future for people living with dementia and their carers, working towards more fulfilled, less fearful lives, free from stigma and inequality.

This is a cause close to our hearts at Ashridge. Every conversation can help build understanding and a more supportive community.
