Another new signing for Team Ceaton!

The impact of severe weather doesn't always end when the storm passes.

Following our recent post showing an industrial roller shutter being blown out of its guide rails by high winds, here's another example of the damage severe weather can leave behind.

These photographs, taken at a customer's premises following a previous storm, show significant damage to an industrial roller shutter, including bent and distorted metalwork.

For businesses relying on roller shutters to secure their premises, damage like this can compromise security, disrupt day-to-day operations and, more importantly, present serious safety risks.

While some damage is immediately obvious, other faults may only become apparent following a closer inspection.

A new signing for Team Ceaton!

We're delighted to welcome Adam Harris to Ceaton Security Services, joining us as our new Remedials & Maintenance Estimator.

With over five years of experience in the fire and security industry, Adam has built a strong technical foundation, having started his career as an apprentice engineer before progressing into installation and maintenance roles.

Adam also holds the FIA Advanced Designer qualification, bringing valuable technical knowledge and practical, hands-on experience to his new position.

In his role, Adam will support our remedial works and maintenance operations, helping the team assess customer requirements, prepare accurate quotations and identify practical solutions to keep fire and security systems operating reliably.

We're always pleased to welcome talented people who share our commitment to quality workmanship, technical expertise and excellent customer service.

With Storm Austen expected to bring strong winds to parts of the UK from this evening, followed by Storm Boelo over the weekend, this footage is a stark reminder of the damage severe weather can cause.

The video shows a large industrial roller shutter that has been blown out of its guide rails by high winds, leaving the shutter curtain suspended from the top and swinging dangerously in the wind.

Beyond the damage to the shutter itself, situations like this can pose a serious risk to people, property and business operations.
