Our Lourdes Pilgrimage came to an end as we arrived back home yesterday after another 24 hour journey! We give thanks for a week filled with faith, service, fun and encounter- even in the Heat! Together, we walked in the footsteps of Our Lady, serving the Assisted Pilgrims of Birmingham with compassion, joining in prayer and procession, and sharing fellowship with the wider Archdiocese. Through every act of kindness, every prayer offered, and every moment of reflection, we witnessed God's grace at work.

Students Niko, Libby, Savannah, Hana and Simran did an incredible job, making Bishop Milner and Stuart Bathurst proud!

We thank everyone who supported us on this journey through prayers, donations, encouragement and promotion.

Days 3 & 4 of our Lourdes Pilgrimage were filled with both adventure and service. We enjoyed the beauty of the Pyrenees with a trip to Pic du Jer, before supporting our assisted pilgrims during Brancardier service and the final Torchlight Procession. We were also proud to display our banners at the final Diocesan Mass, united together in faith and fellowship.

The Students' compassion, dedication and determination to be of service has been highly commendable and truly wonderful to see!

On this Pilgrimage to Lourdes, we carried prayer intentions written by students and staff across from BMCC and Stuart Bathurst, placing them at the Grotto. May the prayers from our schools and those we carry on behalf of our loved ones be heard and treasured in this special place and beyond! ✝️🩵🕯️

One of our Student Pilgrims, Libby, celebrated her birthday today while in Lourdes!
What a noble way to spend a special day in Service!
We thank God for the blessing of her life!

Days 2 and 3 in Lourdes were jam packed!
On Wednesday, we had the honour of being part of the International Mass, joining with many nations as one family on Faith, representing our schools and Diocese with Pride!

We also had the joy of serving Dinner for and leading Night Prayer after a busy day for our elderly Pilgrims, reflecting on the call of Our Lady and the inspiration of Saint Augustine of Canterbury.

The Heat and the step count rises but we push on!

Our Pilgrims hit the ground running today with their first Rota day volunteering on the Lourdes Pilgrimage! Our day started with a robust cleaning shift before a beautiful and sunny Mass at the Grotto where Saint Bernadette witnessed Our Lady, heeding her call.
Our combined students of Milner and Bathurst did us proud also by being part of the Reconciliation Service and Birmingham Diocese-led Procession!
What a joy!
