Harper Latter Architects is a small dedicated team of architects and designers based in the heart of Wimbledon village.

We work closely with our clients to make bespoke, modern & traditional houses. High end residential architectural practice based in Wimbledon Village specialising in luxury refurbishments and new build family homes in and around London.

An extension is about more than another room. It's also a chance to rethink what you see from inside your home.

In this Wimbledon project, the living space looks out to the garden, with a rooflight bringing in light from above. The entrance photograph gives another view through the house.

Some of our favourite views of this Wimbledon Village family home are the smaller ones: the curve of the staircase, planting beneath the bay window and the reflections across the pool.

A swim or a game of bowling, without leaving home.

This project combines an outdoor pool with a basement leisure complex. The photographs move from the pool terrace to the bowling lanes, then back to the house itself.

A new family home overlooking Wimbledon Park, and one we are really pleased with. 🏡

The back of the house opens right out to the terrace and a big green garden - perfect for summer evenings. Out front, a stone-framed entrance welcomes you in, and inside there's a staircase you will want to look at twice.

A first look at one of our latest designs for a family home in Surrey! 🏡✨

Work is currently at the demolition stage, but these 3D renders give a great idea of how the finished home will look.

A big part of the design is creating a much stronger connection with the garden. Wide aluminium sliding doors and a feature corner window wrap around the new extended living space, bringing in plenty of natural light and opening the home directly onto the terrace and garden. 🌿

The exterior combines traditional and contemporary details, with red brickwork, tile cladding and new roof tiles complementing the character of the original home, while dark aluminium glazing and the flat-roofed rear extension give it a more modern feel.

We’re looking forward to watching this one take shape over the coming months! 👏🔨

As well as designing homes for our clients, we also create many of the bespoke details within them - including w**e rooms and cellars.⁠

Here's a glimpse into one of our previous projects, where a contemporary glazed door brings light into the hallway while creating a striking feature of the joinery and w**e display beyond. Home to our client's impressive collection, it has become a much loved space and a standout feature within the home.⁠
⁠
While the design and appearance of a w**e room are important, there are also technical considerations that need to be carefully incorporated. Temperature control, ventilation and air circulation all play a key role in protecting and storing a collection properly, and these elements are integrated into the design from the outset.⁠
⁠
The result is a space that is both practical and beautiful.
