The Philippine delegation was honored to attend a dinner hosted by Ambassador Ignacio in New Delhi, held on the sidelines of the Indusfood event. The evening took place at BOYA, a high-end Japanese restaurant led by Chef Augusto Cabrera, a Filipino celebrity chef based in India and a respected figure in the country’s culinary scene. Chef Augusto is also the author of a coffee table book that documents his culinary journey and philosophy, further underscoring his influence in the industry.

The dinner served as a platform to explore how Philippine export products can be incorporated into refined international cuisine. With support from Dry Tech Manufacturing Corp, Chef Augusto was introduced to Philippine dried ingredients, including taro leaves, moringa, pandan, and lemongrass, which he will use in developing dishes tailored for the Indian market. More than a collaboration, the evening marked a meaningful conclusion to the Philippine delegation’s Indusfood engagement, reflecting the relationships forged, ideas exchanged, and opportunities that continue beyond the trade floor.
