For the Kharif season stocks available up to 51% against the actual requirement, while conventionally, a level of 33% is usually maintained. This shows that advanced stocking has taken place and proper logistics management has been done by the government.
We have a domestic production of 104.81 LMT achieved after the crisis period, and about 27.62 LMT of imports have reached our shores. So, approximately 132.43 LMT of fertilizers have been added to our availability after the crisis situation.
The country has already secured about 25 lakh metric tons of urea and 15 lakh metric tons of DAP and other complexes from routes other than the Strait of Hormuz, which will be arriving during June and July. We have issued another global tender for the procurement of 17 lakh metric tons of urea, which is currently under progress.
