Today Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi transferred the 22nd installment of the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' (PM-KISAN) to the eligible beneficiary farmers through a live webcast. In sync with the event, a live broadcast was also organized at various locations of Cachar District with the farmars in presence of officials and staff. Notably, a total of 69068 eligible beneficiaries from Cachar District received the 22nd installment of the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' (PM-KISAN)

মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি আজ গুয়াহাটির জ্যোতি - বিষ্ণু আন্তর্জাতিক কলা মন্দির থেকে সরাসরি ব্যাংক স্থানান্তরের মাধ্যমে কৃষকদের 'প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিসান সম্মান নিধি' (PM-KISAN) এর ২২তম কিস্তি হস্তান্তর করেছেন। অনুষ্ঠানের সাথে সামঞ্জস্য রেখে, আধিকারিক এবং কর্মীদের উপস্থিতিতে কৃষকদের সাথে কাছাড় জেলার বিভিন্ন স্থানে একটি সরাসরি সম্প্রচার অনুষ্ঠিত করা হয়েছিল। উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে, কাছাড় জেলার মোট ৬৯০৬৮ জন কৃষকরা 'প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিসান সম্মান নিধি' (PM-KISAN) এর ২২তম কিস্তি পেয়েছেন।

The two-day Kisan Mela organized by the Agriculture Department and Agricultural Technology Management Agency concluded on March 12, 2026. The closing ceremony was attended by District Agricultural Officer Dr. Rahul Chakraborty, Senior Scientist and Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Suresh Biswas, Subject Matter Specialist Dr. Himanshu Mishra, AGP Working President Moniton Singha, Officers from Animal Husbandry and Fisheries and other agricultural officials and staff. The event saw participation from various government departments, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, agribusiness companies, agricultural farms, farmer producer companies, agricultural entrepreneurs, and sellers of agricultural equipment, technology, and machinery. The event also featured farmer-scientist interaction sessions on both days with participation from scientists and experts in agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry. Prizes were distributed for competitions on agricultural products such as cabbage and cauliflower etc. Progressive farmers were also honored on the first day. The stalls at the mela were given felicitation by the department and Agricultural Technology Management Agency. A quiz competition was held on the second day, followed by a cultural program in the evening. The event saw significant sales of agricultural products, fresh vegetables, and other items. The department expressed gratitude to students, schools, colleges, and the general public for their participation.The closing ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Departmental Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer Jainal Abdin and was smoothly orated and anchored by Biplab Biswas.

কৃষি বিভাগ ও কৃষি প্রযুক্তি ব্যাবস্থাপনা সংস্থা আয়োজিত দ্বী-দিবসীয় কিষান মেলার সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয় বৃহস্পতিবার, উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেলা কৃষি আধিকারিক ড. রাহুল চক্রবর্তী কৃষি বিজ্ঞান কেন্দ্রের জ্যেষ্ঠ বৈজ্ঞানিক ও প্রধান সুরেশ বিশ্বাস, বিষয়বস্তু বিশেষজ্ঞ ড. হিমাংশু মিশ্র এজিপি কার্যকারী সভাপতি মনিতন সিংহ, জেলা পশুপালন, মৎস্য আধিকারিক, সহ অন্যান্য কৃষি বিভাগীয় আধিকারিক এবং কর্মীরা। অনুষ্ঠিত হওয়া এই মেলায় এবার অনেকটি সরকারি বিভাগ, কৃষি বিজ্ঞান কেন্দ্র, কৃষি ব্যবসায়ী সংস্থা, কৃষি খামার, কৃষক উৎপাদনকারী কোম্পানি, কৃষি উদ্যোক্তা, বেশকটি কৃষি সামগ্রী-প্রযুক্তি ও মেশিন বিক্রেতারা অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন। মেলার দুদিনই ছিল কৃষক-বিজ্ঞানী মতবিনিময় সভা, এতে অংশ নিয়েছেন কৃষি বিজ্ঞান কেন্দ্রের বৈজ্ঞানিক সহ মৎস, পশুপালন ও কৃষি বিশেষজ্ঞরা। কিষান মেলায় হওয়া বাঁধাকপি, ফুলকপি ইত্যাদি কৃষি উৎপাদনের উপর প্রতিযোগিতার পুরষ্কারও সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠানে বিতরণ করা হয়। সাথে প্রথম দিন কৃষকদের প্রদান করা হয় প্রগতিশীল কৃষক সম্মাননা। মেলার স্টল গুলোকেও বিভাগ ও কৃষি প্রযুক্তি ব্যাবস্থাপনা সংস্থা মারফত সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। মেলায় দ্বিতীয় দিন ছিল ক্যুইজ প্রতিযোগিতাও, সন্ধ্যায় ছিল সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। মেলার দুদিনই প্রচুর কৃষি সামগ্রী, তাজা শাক-সব্জি সরাসরি বিক্রি করা হয়। মেলায় বিভিন্ন ছাত্রছাত্রী মহাবিদ্যালয়, স্কুল এবং সর্বসাধারন জনগণরা এগিয়ে এসে অংশগ্রহন করায় কৃতজ্ঞতা জানানো হয় বিভাগীয় তরফে। দ্বিতীয় দিনের অনুষ্ঠানের শেষে ধন্যবাদ সূচক বক্তব্য রাখেন বিভাগীয় মহকুমা কৃষি আধিকারিক জয়নাল আবেদিন ও সুচারুরূপে সঞ্চালনা করেন বিপ্লব বিশ্বাস।

On Wednesday, 2 days Kisan Mela organised by Department of Agriculture Cachar and the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) was inaugurated. The event was attended by Shri. Debashish Chakraborty Retd. Joint Secretary GoA, Dr. Rahul Chakraborty, District Agricultural Officer, Cachar, Joynal Abdin SDAO the programme was also attended by District Krishak Morcha President Subrata Chakraborty, Vice President Animesh Dey, General Secretaries Anshuman Das, Mrinal Dutta, Secretary Rajib Deb, District Prabhari Amitabh Dey, District AGP Working President Moniton Singha along with Dr. Suresh Ch Biswas Sr. Scientist & Head KVK , Dr. Himanshu Mishra - SMS of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Cachar, DDM Nabard, District Fishery Development Officer, District Veterinary Officer, Agricultural Development Officers Shri. Sagnik Nath, Jojob Longmailai, Dibya Jyoti Saikia, Khanjan Das. The fair was organised at the Soil Testing Laboratory premises near Sadarghat, Silchar. Various Government departments along with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Agribusiness organizations, agricultural farms, farmer producer companies, agri-entrepreneurs and suppliers of agricultural equipment, technology & machineries participated in the event. On both days 11th & 12th March, farmer-scientist interaction & sessions will be held. With participation from agricultural scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendras as well as expert cm officals from fisheries, animal husbandry and agriculture. The fair also included direct sales of agricultural products, fresh vegetables and naturally grown produces. The Kisan Mela also featured a agri production competition. Additionally, there were progressive farmer felicitation programs, quizzes and the evening will be filled with cultural performances.It is noteworthy that on the first day of the event the inaugural song was performed by the music artist of the region, Meghraj Chakraborty and the entire program was smoothly orated and anchored by Biplab Biswas.
