🤝 Supporting the safe return of internally displaced Cambodians
The EU is proud to partner with APOPO and the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) by allocating EUR 1.6 million (approx. USD 1.8 million) to survey and clear land contaminated by cluster mu*****ns in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces. This initiative will release 5,724,000 square meters of contaminated land—directly enabling displaced families to return home safely and restoring access to livelihoods.
In the aftermath of the 2025 border conflict, the EU is the first donor to directly support activities related to Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) contamination.
