💧 More than 200 people joined us for EWA’s Groundwater Open Day 2026

Visitors had the opportunity to explore an underground spring in Ħad-Dingli and learn more about our groundwater and why it is so important to protect this valuable resource.

A successful Groundwater Open Day!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, showed interest, and contributed to making this event a success. Together, we continue to raise awareness about the importance of groundwater and the need to protect this precious resource for future generations.

We were also pleased to welcome the Clepsydra Group, who joined one of the slots during the project’s final local Living Lab.

We spoke to some of the participants who attended the week-long International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) training course on isotope hydrology, hosted by the Energy and Water Agency in Malta.

The training brought together participants from 18 countries across Europe and Central Asia to learn more about using isotope techniques to better understand and monitor water resources.
