The City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), conducted the 2nd Batch of the Barangay Development Plan (BDP) Workshop on April 29โ30, 2026, at the Barangay Sto. Niรฑo Gym in Tugbok District.
Barangay Development Councils from Barangays Bago Oshiro, Los Amigos, Mintal, Sto. Niรฑo, and Tugbok Proper participated in the two-day workshop, which focused on strengthening their skills in preparing their Barangay Development Plans aligned with the cityโs development goals.
Based on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-087, the Barangay Development Plan is a three-year plan that guides the barangay in identifying community issues and concerns, setting goals and priorities, and proposing programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) for the development of the community.

๐CCIP Updating: Stakeholders Consultation
The City Planning and Development Office, together with the City Agriculturist's Office and in coordination with the Department of Agriculture XI-PRDP, conducted the CCIP Updating: Translation of New VCAs to PCIP Stakeholders Consultation last May 14, 2026 at the World Palace Hotel.
This collaborative effort aims to align local agricultural development frameworks with updated value chain analyses to better serve our Dabawenyo farmers. ๐ฝ๐ฝ

The City Government of Davao has reconstituted the City Statistics Committee (CSC) through Executive Order No. 5, giving it the responsibility to provide statistical guidance at the city level.
The committee brings together offices from the economic, social, and environmental sectors, led by the City Mayor as chairperson and the City Planning and Development Coordinator as co-chair.
It shall also lead in improving the cityโs statistical system, ensuring it is responsive to development planning and monitoring.
Additionally, the CSC has the autonomy to carry out its duties and obligations and to decide how to handle statistical problems at the city level; it will serve as the recommendatory body on the city's statistical policies and programs.

The City Government of Davao convened the City Development Council (CDC) on March 27, 2026, at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, bringing together City Government Officials, Punong Barangays, and representatives from Civil Society Organizations. The meeting also recognized the newly elected Executive Committee, including sectoral chairpersons for Infrastructure, Social, Environment, Economic, and Public Administration.
Key discussions focused on the Pre-Evaluation Team (PET) Process Flow to streamline documentary requirements and address delays in infrastructure project implementation.
The Institutionalization of the Peopleโs Council was also discussed to strengthen CSO engagement and participatory governance.
Circular Economy initiatives were presented to advance resource efficiency and reduce waste. The Streetscape Ordinance was likewise introduced to enhance safe, accessible, and people-centered urban spaces.
Overall, the meeting reaffirmed the City Governmentโs commitment to collaborative, efficient, and sustainable development, ensuring that all sectors work together toward a more inclusive and resilient Davao City.
