It commemorates the date in 1898 when our Philippine flag was first unfurled following the victory of our revolutionaries at the Battle of Alapan in Cavite. Today, we wave our flag with pride to honor the heroes who fought for our liberty and the history that binds us together.

Meet one of our regular visitors at the parkโ€”the ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฒ, also known as the "Berdugo". They might look round and cute, but this clever hunter's nickname is well-earned as it impales its prey on sharp twigs and thorns.

Spotting them in the city is a reminder of how vital our urban green spaces are. We stand firm on our advocacy of developing a place where both culture and nature will thrive.

At Nayong Pilipino, we are committed to being more than just a parkโ€”we are a sanctuary for urban wildlife. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿชบ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

For three days, representatives from the Local Government Unit and Indigenous Peoples as well as cultural workers and tourism frontliners were given the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills on environmental awareness, sustainability, and cultural development.

Through participating in various hands-on and skills-based activities, the participants learned to embody what it means to be ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€--individuals who think, act, and live in ways that uplift their community and country.

We extend our gratitude to the Provincial Government of Bataan and the Department of Tourism - Philippines for their support and assistance in making this workshop successful.

Mabuhay! ๐ŸŒฟ

Maraming maraming salamat sa Bataan Provincial Tourism Office for being part of the MAKANAYON: Philippine Cultural Leadership Workshop for Tourism Practitioners.
