The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group โ Mindanao Field Unit conducted the distribution of Information, Education and Communication materials at a mall in Downtown Proper, Zamboanga City, on May 12, 2026.
The activity was led by PSMS Al-Greemer S Angking, under the supervision of PLTCOL JOFFEL T REMUDARO, OIC, AKG-MFU.
The IEC materials were strategically distributed to mall shoppers to raise awareness on Anti-Kidnap-for-Ransom preventive measures, safety and security protocols, and the AKG hotline.
This initiative aimed to strengthen community vigilance and equip the public with practical information to help safeguard themselves, their families, and the wider community.
The activity was carried out under the leadership of PBGEN GLICERIO C CANSILAO, Director, AKG, as part of the Groupโs continuing efforts to promote public awareness and prevent kidnapping incidents through education and community partnership.

The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group โ Mindanao Field Unit, through its Iligan Satellite Office, conducted a lecture on the Role of the Police and Barangay in Kidnap-for-Ransom Prevention at Barangay Maria Cristina, Iligan City, on May 11, 2026.
The lecture was conducted by PEMS Michael Q Mendoza, PCR PNCO of MFU-ISO, and was participated in by members of the Barangay Council, BPATs, and Purok Leaders headed by Hon. Noli L Laurete, Barangay Chairman.
During the activity, PAT Donna G Arnoco distributed Information, Education and Communication materials containing KFR awareness, safety tips, and preventive measures.
The activity aimed to enhance public awareness, encourage proactive community measures, and support the Safer Cities initiative under the PNP Focused Agenda. It also helped educate community members on preventive actions, warning signs, and proper steps to take during possible kidnapping incidents.

Personnel of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group โ Mindanao Field Unit conducted a Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting on May 8, 2026, focusing on the theme โLeadership Through Service.โ
The activity was led and facilitated by PEMS Bonifacio A Oclarino Jr., 2nd Squad Leader and Life Coach. It was attended by CSO personnel and started with an opening prayer led by PEMS Ernesto P Vasquez Jr.
The discussion was anchored on Matthew 20:26โ28, reminding personnel that true leadership is measured through humility, selfless service, integrity, and dedication to duty.
The activity emphasized the importance of service above self and leading by example, encouraging personnel to strengthen camaraderie within the organization and continue delivering honest, dedicated, and people-centered police service.

Through this initiative, mallgoers were provided with practical information to help protect themselves, their families, and their communities from potential threats.

Peรฑales, Team Leader of the Sibugay Tracker Team, together with personnel from Masbate MPS and 97IB, 1ID, Philippine Army, in coordination with Gutalac MPS and Uson MPS, Masbate PPO, under the supervision of PLTCOL Joffel T. Remudaro, OIC, MFU, served the Warrant of Arrest (WOA) against the above-named accused for Murder (Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code), docketed under Criminal Case No. 15864, issued by Hon. Jose Ronald M. Bersales, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Fifth Judicial Region, Branch 47, Masbate City, Masbate, with no bail recommended.

On May 2, 2026, at about 10:30 AM, personnel of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group โ Mindanao Field Unit (PNP-AKG MFU) Headquarters conducted a distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to the transport sector at Tricycle TODA de Zamboanga, Zamboanga City.
The activity held under the leadership of PBGEN GLICERIO C. CANSILAO, Director, AKG as part of AKGโs continuing efforts to strengthen community engagement and crime prevention initiatives.
IEC materials were distributed to passengers, as well as tricycle and jeepney drivers, containing essential information on antiโKidnapping-for-Ransom (KFR) awareness, safety and security tips, relevant provisions of Republic Act No. 8353, and the AKG hotline. These efforts aim to equip the public, especially those in the transport sectorโwith the knowledge and practical tools needed to protect themselves and their families from criminal threats.
This initiative further strengthened awareness and emphasized the importance of vigilance, education, and cooperation in preventing crime. Together, let us remain vigilant and united in the fight against crime.
