Some of the most meaningful improvements to healthcare happen behind the scenes. 🏥

That’s why we built Referral Exchange (RefX) with the Ministry of Health, Singapore and public healthcare clusters: to make specialist referrals from GP clinics to public hospitals simpler, faster and easier to track.

With appointments now confirmed in under 3 days on average, patients can have greater certainty about what happens next.

That’s a wrap on hackitrxsg2026, our final Build for Good Stewards hackathon of the year! 🎉

After four weeks of building, testing and iterating, teams took to the exhibition floor to showcase their solutions at Demo Day. Each one was built with the people at the heart of healthcare in mind: patients managing long-term conditions, the caregivers supporting them, and the healthcare staff looking after them.

To every team that took part: thank you for the late nights, bold ideas and care you put into building for better healthcare. 💛

Still have CDC Vouchers 2026 (January) or SG60 Vouchers to use? If you still have unspent vouchers, you can now turn them into support for other Singaporeans in need through KampungSpirit 💜

From 1 October to 31 December 2026, KampungSpirit lets you donate your unspent vouchers directly to participating charities with Institute of a Public Character (IPC) status, giving more choice and flexibility over where your donations go.

Donations are eligible for tax deduction, and only the person who claimed the vouchers may donate them.

Already spent your vouchers but still want to contribute? You can also make a cash donation through KampungSpirit to fund essential and practical items that households need most, as requested by their social workers.

Every year, our team spends a month volunteering with organisations across Singapore. 🌱

This year that meant gardening with MINDSG Ltd, a shift at Dignity Kitchen under Project Dignity SG, and AI literacy sessions with seniors from Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities, alongside Rainbow Centre, Singapore, Special Olympics Singapore, ACRES, Econ Healthcare, Vanguard Healthcare, and Fei Yue.

A month doesn’t change much. But it’s a month of listening to people who’ve been doing this for years, and that changes how we think about the work we do.

Not every product needs to last forever to make a difference.

Roadbuster was built during Hack for Public Good 2024 to help Traffic Police start speeding enforcement sooner, while a permanent system was being developed.

Two years later, that system is live, and Roadbuster has officially done its job. 🚦

For us, that’s a good ending: build quickly around a real problem, keep it running for as long as it’s useful, and retire it when a long-term solution is ready.

Big thanks to Traffic Police for trusting us to build and test alongside them, and for giving Roadbuster the chance to make an impact on our roads.

We started with a problem: long pharmacy wait times.

But after spending time with patients and pharmacists at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), we realised the length of the wait was only part of what made the experience frustrating. Patients also didn’t know how much longer they would be waiting, or what was happening behind the counter.

That led to Peek, a web app that makes pharmacy waits more predictable and transparent. It went live during this year’s Hack for Public Good and has since expanded to more pharmacy locations.

When it comes to public information, a translation needs to fit our context, not just be technically correct.

Polyglot lets citizens read government websites in English, Malay, Mandarin or Tamil with the toggle of a button, all on the same page. It started out at our annual Hack for Public Good, and we’re now testing it with MDDI’s Translations Department and Citizen Translators to see how well it works in practice.

With four official languages in Singapore, Polyglot is one way we’re exploring how government information can be easier to understand in the language you’re most comfortable with. 🌏
