For some persons with intellectual disability, anxiety can show up in many ways: restlessness, pacing, frequent worrying, or difficulty coping with unfamiliar situations.

Through Animal Assisted Therapy sessions with horses, clients from MINDS Regional Hub (Queenstown) and Community Hub (Tampines East) were given space to slow down, connect, and feel safe. 🐴💙

From grooming and feeding to guided activities and walks, these quiet moments encouraged emotional regulation, social interaction, and mindfulness in a calm and supportive environment.

In partnership with EQUAL-ARK and THERIS, the programme explored how meaningful interactions with therapy animals can support the emotional wellbeing of persons with intellectual disability, one gentle step at a time.

As part of Colour Socks Parade 2026, we were honoured to welcome President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to MINDS Regional Hub (Queenstown) to Paint-a-Ball with our MINDS Craft artists. 💛

During the visit, President Tharman also toured various MINDS programmes and spaces, where he interacted with trainees and staff and learned more about how MINDS supports persons with intellectual disability (PWIDs) and families through education, employment training and community-based services.

Every painted football tells a story — of abilities, aspirations and the communities that stand alongside PWIDs.

Join us in supporting the movement through Paint-a-Ball and be part of creating a more inclusive Singapore. 🎨⚽

What happens when more than 160 persons with intellectual disability, 70 caregivers, and 150 volunteers come together? ⚡️An afternoon filled with games, cheers, and unforgettable moments of inclusion at Anderson-Serangoon Junior College.

From bocce and soccer to an exciting relay race with special guest 🏁✨, the energy on the field was unmatched. While participants took on the games, caregivers also had time to recharge through wellness and sharing sessions by MINDS Clinic and MINDS STEP services. 💙

A big thank you to Anderson-Serangoon Junior College, Gardenia, and all our volunteers and supporters for making the day possible.

Because inclusion happens when communities come together. 🙌

🌱 Fresh harvests, meaningful connections, and a growing community.

Our second Farmers’ Market at Regional Hub (Hougang) brought together trainees, staff, and community members in support of our hydroponics farm initiative. Participants had the opportunity to engage with visitors, share about the farm, and sell freshly harvested produce grown right here at Regional Hub (Hougang).

Moments like these go beyond the market stall — they build confidence, create connections, and celebrate the journey of growth together.

💚 Thank you to everyone who came by to support us! Stay tuned for upcoming Farmers’ Markets, workshops and tours as our hydroponics journey continues to grow.
