Three days. One unforgettable celebration of Tobago. 🇹🇹🇨🇦

Sunday, August 30, 2026 brought Trinbago Toronto to an incredible close at Nathan Phillips Square, capping off three days filled with the culture, cuisine, creativity, music and unmistakable energy of Tobago.

From our rich heritage and unique culinary traditions to the sounds of calypso, steelpan and soca, Toronto experienced a taste of what makes Destination Tobago truly extraordinary.

Also helping us share the Tobago story was the Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute (THTI). Being Tobago’s premier tertiary institution for hospitality and tourism education, THTI was on display providing local dishes crafted through talent, skills and innovation.

This Trinbago Toronto partnership was brought to life through the collective efforts of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation (DoTACI), Tobago Festivals Commission Limited (TFCL), Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL), Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute (THTI) and Trinbago Toronto.

To everyone who came out, celebrated with us, tasted with us, danced with us and experienced Tobago with us, thank you!

You’ve had a taste. Now come experience Tobago for yourself.

While Trinbago Toronto has come to an end, Tobago’s festival calendar continues to flow!

Next up for Tobago Festivals Commission Limited is the Tobago Blue Food Festival on October 18, 2026. Then, from October 30–November 1, 2026, Tobago Carnival celebrates its 5th anniversary! 🎭🔥🎶

30/08/2026

Day 2 at Trinbago Fest, Tobago took center stage and raised the energy ALL the way up!

From the sweet sounds of calypso and steelpan to dance, drumming and the infectious energy of soca, Nathan Phillips Square came alive with the rhythms, movement and culture that tell our story and move the world.

Then headline act Shurwayne Wi******er turned it all the way up, delivering an explosive performance that had Toronto moving! 🔥🎶

And there was even more reason to celebrate! Secretary for Tourism, Zorisha Hackett, announced that direct flights from Toronto to Tobago begin October 25 making it even easier for our Canadian friends and diaspora to trade Toronto for Tobago, just in time to experience the energy of Tobago Carnival! ✈️🇨🇦🇹🇹

From experiencing a taste of Tobago in the heart of Toronto to now having a direct route to our shores…the connection just got stronger.

Tobago brought the rhythm. Toronto brought the vibes. And together, we made a scene! 🇹🇹🇨🇦

🌱 Celebrating Excellence in Agriculture & Agro-Tourism!

The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited proudly congratulates Ms. Shenel Brathwaite, Executive Assistant to the Ag. CEO, on receiving the Agriculture Award in the 18–35 category at the THA Division of Youth Empowerment and Sport Youth Awards 2026, held on August 12 at the Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort.

Shenel’s achievement reflects years of dedication to agriculture, agro-processing and sustainable development in Tobago. Through her work, she continues to bridge traditional farming with innovation, technology and value-added production, while contributing to food security, rural development and the growing potential of agro-tourism in Tobago.

Her journey has already earned recognition both locally and internationally. In 2025, Shenel was an awardee of the Shaping the Future of Innovation project, through which she launched a climate-smart greenhouse facility in Courland. She was also selected as Trinidad and Tobago’s 2025 National Nominee for the World Summit Awards in the Business & Commerce category, representing the country in Austria in May 2026, and was previously recognised as a winner of the UK High Commission Grow Smart Initiative business pitch in 2024.

We are especially proud to celebrate this latest achievement by one of our own and a young Tobagonian helping to shape a more innovative, sustainable future for our island.

Congratulations, Shenel! Your TTAL family celebrates with you. 💚👏🏽
