🇸🇪 Sweden's Support for Families and Equality

Balancing work and family life is a challenge for parents everywhere, and unequal unpaid care work still limits many women’s opportunities. Sweden has long worked to change this. In 1974, Sweden became the first country in the world to introduce gender‑neutral parental leave, giving both parents the right to paid time off — a reform that continues to strengthen equality at home and in working life.
Today, more fathers than ever are taking parental leave, helping create a fairer sharing of care and supporting greater gender equality across society.

The UN’s Global Day of Parents 🌍 highlights the vital role families play in children’s well‑being. Sweden’s child‑rights approach and strong family policies aim to ensure that all children grow up with love, security and equal opportunities, and that all parents receive the support they need to thrive.

Robyn has shaped global pop for over two decades — and she’s still rewriting the rules. On March 27, 2026, she released her ninth studio album Sexistential through Konichiwa Records, her first in eight years.

The album dives into themes of motherhood, desire, and nightlife, with production from longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund — echoing the emotional clarity of her Body Talk era.

Sexistential features nine tracks and is now available on Spotify and Bandcamp. A new chapter from one of Sweden’s most influential voices. 🎧✨

Did you know that Britney Spears’s megahit ’...Baby One More Time’ (1998) came about because of a misunderstanding? 🤯

Swedish songwriter Max Martin thought ’hit me’ meant ’call me’ 📞 – a tiny language mix-up that ended up creating one of the most iconic pop songs of all time.

For more than two decades since, Max Martin has shaped global pop culture, writing chart-topping hits for artists like Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
A small mistake with a massive impact.

Oops… we did it again! 🇸🇪😉
