Adel DeSoto Minburn High School student musicians achieved remarkable success on Saturday, October 24 at the Iowa All-State Music Festival district auditions held at Atlantic High School.

Selection for the Iowa All-State Music Festival represents the highest individual honor available to high school musicians in the state, with only the top top percentage of auditioning students earning a place in the festival ensembles.

ADM's band department demonstrated exceptional technique and musicality, placing eight musicians into All-State roster positions and alternate standings:

🔳Amanda Gustafson – 1st Clarinet
🔳Owen Horgen – 1st Trumpet
🔳Clara Uthe – 2nd Clarinet
🔳Leah Melgar – 2nd Clarinet
🔳Brian McDermott – Contra Clarinet
🔳Chase Cline – Alternate Tuba
🔳Meredith Maddy – Alternate Trumpet
🔳Devin Morrey – Alternate Saxophone

Seven standout vocalists from ADM excelled during the rigorous vocal audition process, earning coveted positions in the All-State Chorus:

🔳William Beebe

🔳Nellie Hoodjer
🔳Brooklyn Moore
🔳Andrew Nelson
🔳Will Truitt
