The MKHS Dance Arts Department brought Halloween 🧡🖤 to life with A Nightmare on Hellman 2, a special dance performance for students during PowerTime on Wednesday, October 28! 🕷️

A big round of applause 👏 to the talented dancers and everyone who helped bring this frightfully fun show to life! 🩰🕺

AUSD’s Food and Nutrition Services 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 hosted another successful Food & Wellness Fair 🎪 this past Monday.

Participants were able to sample and rate 📝 a variety of potential menu items 🍽️. They also “shopped” (for free) produce items 🥬🍌🫑 at a mini farmers market 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾, participated in physical activities, and visited learning stations manned by Nutrition Advisory Council students. The event closed with some fun and exiting raffle prizes 🎟️🎁.

The highest rated 👍 items will make their way onto AUSD’s cafeteria menu so be on the lookout 👀 for some delicious new offerings soon‼️

Congratulations 🎉 to the Monterey Park Library Foundation for another successful fundraising gala❗

The October 16th event featured live music 🎶, raffles 🎟️, live & silent auction 🙋✍️, and performances by the Mark Keppel Dance Company 💃🕺.

✨ This year, the Foundation honored 👏 Lily Chen, the Laura Scudder Family (represented by John Scudder), the Bruggemeyer Family, Monterey Park Historical Society, and the Alhambra Education Foundation for their outstanding dedication to the Library and the Monterey Park community.

It was a fun night 🥳 for a worthy cause‼️
