OPERATIONS UPDATE: COAERS will implement modified operations for its in-person services and walk-in appointments on Tuesday, January 27.

WINTER WEATHER CLOSURE NOTICE: The COAERS office is closed to the public for all appointments on Monday, January 26. We expect to resume regular business operations on Tuesday, January 27.

Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season. We’re grateful for another year of service to our members.

This year, the COAERS team also had the chance to give back to the Austin community by teaming up with the Blue Santa Toy Drive. Over the past few weeks, we collected dozens of toys, hoping to bring a smile to the faces of kids all over our wonderful city this Christmas.

Our offices will be closed on December 24 and 25, and we will resume regular business hours on December 26.

Current City of Austin employees, you have one more week to vote in the COAERS Board election for Place 8 and Place 9. Members have the option to cast their vote through either a paper ballot which was mailed to all active members or by voting online.

Are you interested in serving on the COAERS Board? Apply for the Place 5 Board of Trustee position.

The position is appointed by the COAERS Board to serve a four-year term, which will begin January 2026 and continue through December 2029. To qualify, applicants must have been City of Austin residents for the preceding five years and must not be current or former City of Austin employees or officers of the City of Austin.
