Temporary Closure of American Heroes Park
The City of Bellevue has announced that American Heroes Park will be temporarily closed to the public beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, through 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

The closure includes the walking path, lake area, and playground. This temporary closure will allow crews to safely prepare and set up for next weekend’s Bellevue Rocks! Riverfront Festival at American Heroes Park.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as preparations are made for one of Bellevue’s premier summer events. The park will reopen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for a weekend of live music, family activities, food, and fun at Bellevue Rocks!

The Bellevue Police Department is aware of numerous complaints, both through phone calls and social media, regarding a door-to-door solicitor representing Fastwyre Fiber who was allegedly misrepresenting herself as an employee of the City of Bellevue.

Officers contacted the individual this afternoon. While she did not admit to any wrongdoing, the complaints received were very similar in nature and it became apparent that some of the sales tactics being used were deceptive to residents.

The individual voluntarily relinquished her solicitor’s permit in lieu of a revocation hearing and is no longer permitted to conduct door-to-door solicitation within Bellevue city limits.

We want to remind residents to always ask for identification and verify who you are speaking with before providing personal information or agreeing to services at your door. If you ever feel uncomfortable or believe someone is being deceptive, please contact the Bellevue Police Department.

This Memorial Day, the men and women of the Bellevue Police Department pause to honor the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting the freedoms we enjoy will never be forgotten. Today, we remember those who gave everything for something greater than themselves.

As you spend time with family and friends this holiday weekend, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor the fallen who never made it home.

Bellevue Police Officers Association members had the honor today of placing memorial flowers on the graves of our Officers that have passed away. While visiting graves, Sgt.Melrose met the wife of Officer Carl Seaman and had a wonderful conversation about his life. This is why it is important to visit our fallen Officers and remember their service! Thank you to Everbloom Floral in Bellevue for working with us to supply the flowers!
