I said then, and I’ll say again now: if the data told a positive story about this voucher program, the Idaho State Tax Commission would be eager to disclose it.

Idaho taxpayers deserve transparency and accountability, especially when $42 million in public funds is being spent on private school voucher tax credits with NO accountability or transparency.

I joined Sen. Melissa Wintrow and Rep. Ilana Rubel in demanding answers from the Idaho State Tax Commission about who is benefiting from this program. We asked straightforward questions:

What are the average income levels of recipients?
Were families already enrolled in private schools?
Are rural communities actually benefiting?

Instead of answers, we were met with silence and distractions.

Taxpayers deserve to know whether these subsidies are helping families who truly need new opportunities or if this is another tax giveaway benefiting Idaho’s wealthiest households, all while Idaho public schools remain last in the nation in per-student funding.

Idahoans deserve honest answers and responsible leadership.

I've spent my career taking care of people. That means listening, sometimes having hard conversations, advocacy and understanding the system. I want to bring those skills to the Statehouse because it sure seems we need more of that there.

This is how they sneakily destroy our land for profit. Idaho wilderness deserves protection and conservation! Time to get some new faces at the statehouse, ones who actually value our lands and protect them.

Idaho sees a ‘massive influx’ of mining projects. Here’s why Federal efforts to find domestic sources for critical minerals — and avoid a reliance on China — are driving the increase, observers said.
