Hosted by the Burbank Non Profit Coalition’s Back to School Committee, this community event helps local students start the school year prepared and supported with FREE backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, vision & dental screenings, goody bags, and information on free or low-cost community resources. 🙌💙

Today our club resurrected a decades old tradition! For many years, we held a Teacher's Appreciation Luncheon for our Burbank Unified School District Teachers! Covid made us take a break, and then it took a few more years to get organized again, but finally Today, we brought it back!

Every School in Burbank was asked to choose a "Teacher's of the Year", then each teacher and school principal were invited to today's luncheon! We had 100% participation!

Every Principal got to shower accolades on their teacher 🙂 And each teacher received a $100 Gift card & certificate from our club, and also messages of Appreciation from State Representative Nick Schultz, State Senator Caroline Menjivar and Certificates from City of Burbank - Government Mayor Tamala Takahashi and Supervisor Kathryn Barger

Today our Thomas Jefferson K-Kids had an exciting and educational visit to the Burbank Fire Department headquarters. The children got a close-up look at the equipment firefighters use every day to protect our community and keep us safe.

From helmets and turnout gear to emergency vehicles and life-saving tools, our K-Kids asked great questions and learned what it truly means to serve others with courage, teamwork, and dedication.

A big thank-you to the firefighters for taking the time to inspire our future leaders and for all you do for the people of Burbank.

Today we joined the Burbank Police Department & Burbank Fire Department in their annual Police & Fire day! We love both our Departments and always have an incredible time participating!

This week our Speaker was Domonique Paton, Fund Development Coordinator with Hands for Hope LA. We were also visited by the Founder and CEO of Hands for Hope Lydia Floyd!

We heard all about the programs offered by this great organization to youth from all over the San Fernando Valley!
