A lot happened on election day!

What changed in NC, and what do those changes mean for SNAP? Join us to learn more!

Lunch and learn with Stronger with SNAP on Friday, November 6th! We'll explore what the mid-term elections mean for the future of SNAP in our state. For an election week recap, we'll be joined by Dr. Chris Cooper, Director of the Haire Institute for Public Policy at Western Carolina University. Gather with partners from across the state to discuss what changed this week and what comes next for SNAP advocacy at the county, state, and federal level.

People facing cancer and other serious illnesses should be able to focus on their health without added barriers to keeping their coverage.

A federal judge has blocked a Medicaid restriction that would have required people who qualify as medically frail to also prove their condition prevented them from meeting work requirements. The restriction threatened coverage for an estimated 64,000 North Carolinians with serious illnesses.

NCAH engaged on this issue and submitted comments. We welcome this ruling protecting access to care and thank Attorney General Jeff Jackson for defending these protections.

Our work to protect Medicaid coverage continues.
