Recently, Foster Parent Laura shared some kind words regarding our very own Ashlyn Griebel, TFC Permanence Specialist. Ashlyn has only been with our agency since October 2025, and she is already making such impressive waves with our foster parents! It’s amazing to see the positive impact she’s making in such a short amount of time.

Foster Parent Laura said, "I’m not sure if we have a specific social worker recognition day or week, but I’d love to take a moment to share just how much I APPRECIATE Ashlyn!

❤️ (And I absolutely love Autumn, too!)

Ashlyn has only been with our agency since October 2025, and she is already making such impressive waves with our foster parents! It’s amazing to see the positive impact she’s making in such a short amount of time.

Ashlyn has been an incredible support to me, going above and beyond - even outside of working hours on several occasions - to make sure I have the information and resources I need to best support my kiddos. That kind of dedication truly does not go unnoticed!

She is attentive, outgoing, compassionate, and an absolute pleasure to work with. The care she shows the kids, her attention to detail, and the genuine heart she brings to her work make such a difference. You can tell she truly cares, and that means more than words can say.

Do you have time to help another teen find the perfect dress?

To drive to the mall.
To give an honest opinion in the dressing room.
To help with hair, makeup and last-minute details.
To take approximately 47 pictures before they finally say, “Okay, that’s enough.”

For a teenager in foster care, those ordinary moments can mean so much.

Foster parenting is about more than providing a place to live. It’s about being there for the moments that make growing up feel like growing up.

💛 Foster Parent Appreciation Spotlight! 💛

In October, we're celebrating an incredible foster family who has been opening their hearts and home to children for over 30 YEARS!

For more than 3 decades, Mike and Mary have welcomed children into their family, providing safety, love, and support when they needed it most. Their commitment to fostering is truly something to celebrate!

When they’re not fostering, you can find them enjoying the great outdoors and making memories with the people they love. They’re an outgoing crew who enjoys camping, gardening, motorcycle riding, pontooning, 4-wheeling, and spending time with friends and family.

When asked what inspired them to become foster parents, they shared that they, "love to teach kids how families can be and to help them home while keeping them safe."

And their advice to anyone considering becoming a foster parent?

"Fostering is very hard but so rewarding!"

Mike and Mary's dedication is a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact foster parents can have on children and families. We are incredibly grateful for the love, patience, and countless memories that they have shared along the way.
