Great BBQ, great people, and great learning!🍖🌳

Our Fruit and Nut Program at Rolling Smoke BBQ in Anthony last Friday was a huge success with an incredible turnout!

Thank you to:
✅Dr. Cervantes for sharing expert tips on fruit and nut production!
✅Dr. Shamaley for highlighting the link between agriculture, nutrition, and preserving local harvests like pecans and pomegranates!

We appreciate everyone who came out to learn, connect, and support community education. And of course, thank you to Rolling Smoke BBQ for the great food and hospitality!☀️🌱

Week 13📡🚁🌱

We were honored to welcome Dr. Haggerty and Mr. Schoffield, who shared their wealth of knowledge on the history of drones and their transformative role in the professional world. It was more than just a lecture—it was a masterclass on how technology can amplify our impact on the environment.

Our interns then took their learning from the classroom to the field with assisted drone flight training, gaining hands-on experience with maneuvers and the logistics of operating aerial drones. Watching them engage with this technology is a powerful reminder that the best way to prepare for the future is to get your hands on it today.

It was also awesome to have our program evaluator, Dr. Piña, in town to experience the program in action!

A huge thank you to our guests for such an engaging and empowering session. Onward and upward!
