It was a very very cold day for the first drill of the year! We got some new riders and their horses qualified and did a little team building! Thank you Joan for letting us use your arena!

We are receiving reports of scam phone calls claiming that a warrant has been issued for missing jury duty and demanding payment to resolve it.

THIS IS ALWAYS A SCAM.

✅ The Sheriff’s Office will NEVER call you to request any type of payment.
✅ We will NEVER ask for money through gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank transfers, or any other payment method.
✅ Scammers may sound convincing and may even send fake warrants, use false deputy names, or reference the courthouse address.
ALL OF THIS IS FRAUD.

If you receive one of these calls:

Sheriff's Mounted Posse will be held October 6, 2025 at the VFW in Edinboro PA starting at 6:30 PM.

Mounted Posse Meeting on Sept 8 at 6:30 PM at the Edinboro VFW.

There will be no Posse Meeting on September 1 as that is Labor Day. Enjoy the day.

We will have a Posse Meeting on September 8 instead starting at 6:30 PM at the VFW in Edinboro PA.

It hasn't been an easy decision, but we have decided not to hold a Trail Ride this year due to the excessively wet conditions in the woods. We have been unable to get in to clear the trails without damaging the property that the landowners so generously let us use, and the muddy conditions are just not safe for a large group of horses and riders this year. We hope to have it next year in August as usual!

Erie County Sheriff's Posse did some cow sorting today at Pam Bradshaw's! Great team building skills!

Posse Meeting for July will be Monday, July 7th at the VFW in Edinboro starting at 6:30 PM.
