Our Friday Pop Up Soup Kitchen yesterday provided 196 meals to individuals across Evanston. 125 meals were given to the YWCA, 25 meals were brought to our Hospitality Center, and 46 meals were left at Robert Crown Center to help support their programming. This partnership with continues to help feed people who are increasingly facing food insecurities as SNAP benefit requirements change and food prices rise. A huge thank you to Michael at the Robert Crown Center who works with our team from week to week as we use their kitchen space to assemble and bag meals for distribution.

Thank you for inviting us to the Volunteer Fair held today at Robert Crown Center. People braved the cold and snow to hear from community organizations and find out how they can help our neighbors.
We appreciate Susan Murphy Berube, Executive Director, Donna Richardson, Board President, and Carol Wilson, Board Secretary, for spending part of their Sunday sharing about Interfaith Action.

We are so thankful for the volunteers who guarantee that the 4 Interfaith Action Soup Kitchens run weekly, regardless of holidays. Our volunteers range from young to old as we share in community with all of our neighbors no matter our circumstances.
Pictures are from the 2026 New Year’s Day dinner Soup Kitchen at First United Methodist Church. Such a lovely way to begin 2026 with some wonderful company and live music.
