Our school has approximately 750 students in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. Located just four miles west of Knox County, our community is experiencing phenomenal growth. We are proud to have an outstanding staff, high achieving students, and supportive parents. Visitors are always welcome at our school. Our staff is committed to providing a learning environment that encourages cooperation, enjoyment and discovery. We want our students to become educated and responsible citizens who always show respect for others and possess a positive attitude. We believe that students achieve greater success when teachers, parents and the community work together. Our PTO is very active and strongly supports the educational program. They provide volunteers and fund many extra items for our school. Two of our major responsibilities are to ensure the safety of our students and staff and to establish a climate of high expectations for student success. With a rocket as our symbol, our motto is "Eaton Rockets…Watch us Soar!"

Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of October 26th.

1. No LAUNCH tomorrow due to after school staff training.

2. This Friday, students who are not attending a field trip may wear Halloween costumes to school. Costumes must be school-appropriate and may not include blood, gore, scary masks, or weapons of any kind. Please keep in mind that all costumes should allow students to fully participate in learning activities. If a costume becomes a distraction to the learning environment, students may be asked to change into regular school clothes.

3. Volunteering: Our next CSP meeting will be on November 10th at 9:30 in the EES cafeteria. Other opportunities to volunteer can be found on our signup genius: https://bit.ly/26-27EESVolSignup .

4. Join us in honoring the veterans who have served our country! On Veterans Day, November 11, at 10:00 a.m., we invite the veterans in your family to participate in our parade. Veterans should meet at Central United Methodist Church at 9:45 a.m. and will then caravan through the NMS and EES parking lots while our students cheer and thank them for their service. We would also love to recognize veterans during our evening program on November 12. Please send a photo of your veteran to [email protected] along with the following information:

• Branch of Service

5. Next Tuesday, November 3rd is Election Day so there will not be school.

6. Next week we will also have P/T conferences on Thursday (11/5) so if you haven’t signed up yet, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

7. Parent Tip: 🎃Halloween is an exciting time for our kids! Help make the night safe and enjoyable by reviewing trick-or-treat safety rules, staying together as a family, and checking all treats before they are eaten.
