What is an overvote or an undervote? An overvote is when a voter casts more votes for a contest than is allowed. An undervote is when a voter chooses not to vote for that contest and leaves it blank.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
Yamhill County offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

Our office has received a tremendous amount of positive feedback for launching this informative tool that provides real-time data. Reminder if you received correspondence in the mail that looks like the picture below we need your response! All challenged signatures and ballots that were not signed have been sent correspondence to notify the voter we need you to resolve "cure" your signature. Please respond by June 9th at 5:00 p.m. in order for your ballot to be counted!

Return your ballot by mail – no stamp needed! We recommend visiting your local Post Office and asking for a handstamp postmark at the counter to ensure your ballot is postmarked by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
