TCCY staff proudly wore green during our recent commission meeting to raise awareness for children’s mental health and show support for families across Tennessee. We are especially grateful for the leadership of Commission Member Ella Britt of Volunteer Behavioral Health, whose work helps amplify the voices of children, youth, and families across the state. Mental health is everyone's game!

Attendees explored the prevalence of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and learned strategies for prevention and early intervention, along with holistic treatment resources. It was a meaningful day of education, reflection, and empowerment!

The 2026 Resource Mapping Report recommends Tennessee should work to close health coverage gaps. By keeping eligible children and caregivers covered, Tennessee would protect and strengthen the return on the state's financial health investment ($3.8 billion).
