TCCY staff proudly wore green during our recent commission meeting to raise awareness for children’s mental health and show support for families across Tennessee. We are especially grateful for the leadership of Commission Member Ella Britt of Volunteer Behavioral Health, whose work helps amplify the voices of children, youth, and families across the state. Mental health is everyone's game!

TCCY would like to thank all the participants who attended ETCCY's, "Changing the Way We Think About Mental Health."

Attendees explored the prevalence of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and learned strategies for prevention and early intervention, along with holistic treatment resources. It was a meaningful day of education, reflection, and empowerment!

Attendees heard from; Ben Tanzer of The Montana Institute, Matt Marshall of United Ways of Tennessee, Pediatrician Dr. RJ Gillespie of The Children's Clinic and John Noltner of A Peace of My Mind.

This year's event focused on the 5 C's of community; connection, collaboration, communication, commitment and contribution.

The 2026 Resilient Tennessee Collaborative Summit hears from Pediatrician and Trauma-Informed Care Consultant R.J. Gillespie.

The 2026 Resource Mapping Report recommends Tennessee should work to close health coverage gaps. By keeping eligible children and caregivers covered, Tennessee would protect and strengthen the return on the state's financial health investment ($3.8 billion).

Today is Administrative Professionals Day!

TCCY would like to thank Jeni Davis for all she does to keep TCCY leaders and staff in the know and in line! Davis serves as the executive assistant to TCCY's Executive Director Richard Kennedy and Deputy Executive Director Craig Hargrow. However, her work, dedication and efficiency in her role make her an invaluable asset to the entire agency.
