Wow! Crow Creek MeadowFEST on June 16 was a great time! The meadow with all of its wildflowers was blooming beautifully. Thanks to all who turned out to observe, learn, and enjoy. Please click through the photographs.

To go with the photographs added earlier today, here are some photos from the Blue Thumb fish/seining station on Little Elm Creek in Miami. Blue Thumb was invited to be part of the Tar Creek Apprenticeship Program in which young tribal people can enroll each summer. On this particular day (June 11) the focus was on gathering stream data. Hunter, Emma, Cheryl and Haley (summer intern) led the fishing efforts.

Tuesday, June 16 is MeadowFEST at the Crow Creek Meadow!!! Show up for fun and learning (and free lemonade). Come and go, 4 to 8. Be a supporter of our butterflies, birds, and bees!!!

Blue Thumb Training in Norman middle of this week, June 9-10, was a big success!! VERY nice accomadations and a good sized class. Fun and learning was had by all!

Join us at the Crow Creek Meadow next Tuesday from 4:00pm-8:00pm at this come and go event. Enjoying blooming flowers, learn a little about plant identification and visit with nature minded vendors!

Recently, Blue Thumb joined Woodward County Conservation District for their Outdoor Classroom at Boiling Springs State Park! During their rotations with Blue Thumb, over 200 students participated in the activity 'Just Passing Through'. In this activity, students mimic water droplets travelling through a watershed and model how vegetation helps water infiltrate into the ground. 🌱💧
