Today, we officially kicked off 602 Day with our employee celebration at the Washington Activity Center!

Our team enjoyed a great afternoon of fun, including the opportunity to dunk their bosses, share plenty of laughs, and enjoy a delicious lunch catered by Paloma Tacos.

A special thank you to City leadership Dave Mathews, Cynthia Aguilar, Spencer Self, Yvette Rodder, Kimberly Dickerson, Chief Giordano, and Chief Duran for joining us and being great sports in the dunk tank.

602 Day is all about celebrating Phoenix, and there’s no better way to start than by recognizing the dedicated employees who help make our city a great place to live, work, and play.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Today, we honor their legacy and extend our gratitude to all who have served.

May we always remember the cost of freedom. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Yesterday, I joined our partners from Chasse Construction, Gensler, and the Community and Economic Development Department to tour the Innovation 27 construction site and see the incredible progress taking place.

Innovation 27 has been one of my biggest goals since joining City Council, and seeing this vision come to life is an incredible milestone for West Phoenix. This transformational project will bring hands-on workforce training, educational opportunities, and quality career pathways while helping revitalize the 27th Avenue Corridor.

The future of West Phoenix is taking shape.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is excited to welcome residents and visitors back to City pools for another summer of fun beginning Saturday, May 23.
Grab your sunscreen, cool off, and enjoy all our pools have to offer this summer season.

We look forward to seeing our community back at the pool!

An amazing way to kick off the weekend at our Summer Kick-Off event at the Mariposa Park Splash Pad! β˜€οΈπŸ’¦

It’s hard to believe we opened this splash pad for our community three years ago. Seeing so many families and kids enjoying our parks makes all the hard work worth it. πŸ’œπŸŒ΄
