Thank you to my staff for attending the Sheraden Kiwanis Kid’s Day. It was great to see so many community groups and organizations come together to create a fun event for families and children.

I also want to thank all of the City of Pittsburgh departments that came out to connect with residents, answer questions, and share information about the important work they do every day to serve our communities.

Yesterday, I had the honor of presenting the Kiwanis Club of Sheraden with a proclamation from Pittsburgh City Council in recognition of 75 years of service to the Sheraden community.
For generations, they have made a lasting impact through countless volunteer hours, their Annual Easter Egg Hunt, scholarships for local high school students, and so much more. Their dedication and commitment to giving back have helped shape the neighborhood it is today.
As someone who grew up in Sheraden, it was especially meaningful to recognize an organization that has done so much for the community and for so many families over the years. Congratulations on this incredible milestone, and thank you for 75 years of service to our neighborhood!

The Monongahela Incline could reopen as early as Wednesday!

PRT crews determined moisture in an emergency stop button caused both cars to stop moving Thursday evening. Two passengers, one in each car, needed rescued by first responders.

PRT has conducted dozens of successful test trips over the past 12 hours ahead of a scheduled inspection by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry on Wednesday morning. If the incline passes inspection, service could resume later that day.
