Today, my staff and I were out visiting neighborhoods across District 2, and it was great to see so much excitement as City pools officially opened for the summer season.
We had the opportunity to stop by the Westwood pool right as it opened and see the first group of kids jumping in and enjoying the water. There’s nothing quite like the start of pool season to signal that summer has arrived.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Grandview in Bloom a success yesterday!
From the volunteers who gave their time and energy, to the organizations, and residents who came together to support the effort, your dedication helped make Grandview even more beautiful.

Today I had the opportunity to see The Clarks perform the first-ever live show in the Mayor’s Office. It was a special moment to celebrate a band that has been such an important part of Pittsburgh’s music scene for four decades.
Congratulations to The Clarks on 40 years together as a group!

A big thank you to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and the dedicated volunteers who spent their morning beautifying the corner of Grandview Avenue and Merrimac Street. Their hard work helps make one of Pittsburgh’s most scenic locations even more beautiful and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
