Last week, our team spent an afternoon on the Mon with The Mon Water Project and Three Rivers Waterkeeper, learning more about the work being done to protect and improve our waterways.

It was a great opportunity to see the river from a different perspective and hear about ongoing efforts to monitor water quality, improve river health, and expand access to this important resource.

Thanks to both organizations for sharing their expertise and for all they do to care for our rivers.

Thank Dr. Horvath and Kentucky Avenue School for having me at their Exhibition of Learning! ✏️🍎 It was inspiring to watch these bright students in action.

What an amazing experience to tour Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh’s East End facility! We learned about initiatives like Ellie’s Food Pantry, a program that provides in need pet owners with food for their companion animals.

City Cuts is back and fully funded for 2026!

City Cuts provides free lawn cutting services twice per month for eligible Pittsburgh residents throughout the summer and fall.

Spots are limited — residents may qualify if they:
• Are 62 or older
• Are veterans
• Have a disability preventing them from cutting grass
• Have a household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline

Tomorrow is Walk & Roll to School Day! If you plan on commuting near a school that is taking part in the day's festivities, then allow yourself extra time for your commute and stay alert for possible short-term road closures!

It was great to be at the launch of Pittsburgh Drinks Tap; delivering safe, reliable drinking water takes more than promises — it takes sustained funding and transparency.
