Join us on Saturday, June 28, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Pannell Community Center for this year’s State of District 8, themed “Community Is Our Power.”
Each year, State of District 8 is an opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments, share what’s ahead, and celebrate the residents, businesses, organizations, educators, artists, and youth leaders who make our community strong.

Today, our Public Affairs Director had the opportunity to represent at 2026 State of Tourism event.
One message stood out throughout the program: community remains at the heart of Sacramento’s success. Our neighborhoods, cultural traditions, small businesses, local events, and diverse communities are what make this region a destination worth visiting.

• Mattresses & box springs
• Tires & rims (limitations apply)
• Select household appliances
• E-waste (TVs, computers, electronics)
• Paint, batteries, oils, and other household hazardous waste
• General household garbage and bulky waste
❌ No trailers, commercial vehicles, refrigerators, air conditioners, concrete, dirt, or construction debris.
Residents must bring a valid ID and proof of Sacramento City residency.
