🤡 Trick AND Treat 🍬 from your (not-so-scary) friends at Granite Education Foundation.

Turns out, we're better at helping students thrive than we are at being spooky. And honestly, we're OK with that.

🎃 Happy Halloween 🎃

Our second Thank You Thursday visit took us to
Arcadia Elementary School, Granite School District, Taylorsville, Utah to surprise 4th-grade teacher Ronda Hunsaker!

Principal Brandon Moore says Rhonda is the kind of teacher who takes initiative, embraces new challenges, and jumps in wherever she's needed. She's dedicated, hardworking, and always gives her best to her students and school community.

We think it's pretty special when someone who spends so much time showing up for others gets a moment to feel just how much THEY matter. And yes, there were more happy tears! 🥹

🥹 DOUBLE the Thank You Thursday, DOUBLE the happy tears!

First up: Fremont Elementary Head Custodian Monica Farfan!

Monica does so much more than keep the school sparkling. She saves the day from spiders 🕷️, helps students open lunches and tie shoes, and makes sure every child feels safe and cared for. Principal Kristen Logan says Monica is always willing to help, never complains, and is someone the entire school can count on. Her students adore her, and her staff loves her, too!

Today, we made sure Monica knew just how much she means to her school community. 💙 Help us say THANK YOU!

🎃 We understood the assignment. Fall trend? Check. Pumpkin? Check. Sneaking our mission onto literally everything? You bet. 😂

But this pumpkin is more than just cute fall décor. 🍂 It represents what we’re all about: Food Assistance, Student Aide, Access to Opportunity, and Educator Support.

Behind every program, every backpack, every weekend kit, and every opportunity is a student who deserves the chance to thrive.

And that’s a trend we hope never goes out of style. 🧡

✨Thank You Thursday✨

When something needs fixing at Evergreen Jr High, there’s one person to call: Head Custodian Dani Knapp!

No job is too big or too small for Dani. She’ll get it done, do it well, and take pride in her work. (And if she can find a way to make it even better? You can bet she will!)

Principal Ryan Shaw praised Dani’s attitude and work ethic, sharing:
“Every day, Dani creates positive relationships with both our students and staff, and her fun, friendly positivity makes her someone people genuinely enjoy working with. She is someone we can count on, someone who is always willing to help, and someone who makes Evergreen a better place.”

If only every team could be so lucky to have a Dani! 💙

Join us in celebrating Dani and the difference she makes in her school community.

This month, we’re highlighting Access to Opportunities through Unified Sports! In September, Hunter High hosted a soccer tournament where athletes from across the valley came together to compete, connect, and celebrate inclusion.

All 8 Granite high schools offer Unified Sports, from soccer to basketball to track. Granite Education Foundation proudly provides transportation and support to help these athletes get in the game and show what’s possible when everyone belongs.

Help us keep opportunity in motion! 💙 Your donation helps Granite students build confidence, create connections, and discover what they can do. Give today at granitekids.org!

While students were sleeping in and soaking up the last of fall break, teachers from Calvin Smith Elementary were busy making sure other students had what they needed to succeed!

These awesome educators spent their morning at our Donation & Distribution Center building food kits for Granite students 🧡

A huge THANK YOU to the Calvin Smith crew for proving great teachers show up for students in more ways than one!

Want to make an impact, too? Visit granitekids.org to learn how you can help! 🙌

🧙‍♀️ Not all witches are wicked. Some are downright wonderful!

The Wickedless Witches Brunch put a little magic (and a little Derby-day flair!) toward a very good cause this week. These incredible supporters helped make sure 400 student weekend kits will find their way into the backpacks of Granite students.

That’s 400 students with a little extra support, a little less worry about the weekend, and a whole lot of community magic in their corner. ✨
