Tomorrow is the last day to protest your 2026 property value!

Appraisal notices were mailed in early April to new property owners and to those whose value increased by $1,000 or more from last year. Property owners who protested their 2025 value may also not have received a notice. Regardless of whether a notice arrived in the mail, every property owner has the right to protest before the May 15, 2026 deadline.

2026 values and protest forms are available at bcad.org. You can submit your protest by mail, fax, in person, or online through the Help Center at help.bcad.org. If you have your Owner ID and PIN, you can also submit it through the Online Services Portal.

Contact our Help Center or call 210-242-2432 with any questions.

Property owners in Bexar County have until May 15 to protest their 2026 appraised value. With fewer notices mailed this year, Chief Appraiser Rogelio Sandoval reminds property owners that they have the right to protest, even if they did not receive an appraisal notice.
