We are wrapping up our DC Advocacy Days and it has been a great week! We have had more than 60 meetings with members of the House and the Senate and have found strong support for the Family Justice Center movement! Family Justice Centers save lives and break generational cycles of abuse!

Hope is what survivors hold onto when systems fail them. Hope is what advocates carry when the work gets heavy. Hope is what turns pain into purpose and stories into change.

We don’t just talk about justice; we protect the belief that it’s possible.

Day 2 of Capitol Hill Days was one for the books. 👟🏛️📦

Today, Family Justice Center leaders met with lawmakers and staff on Capitol Hill to advocate for policies that strengthen support for survivors and improve community safety nationwide. From sharing survivor-centered solutions to discussing the urgent need for victim services funding, every conversation mattered.

The day wrapped with a Senate roundtable discussion and a chance to reflect, regroup and prepare to do it all again tomorrow. Advocacy work is equal parts purpose, persistence and comfortable walking shoes. 💜

Prosecutors support Family Justice Centers & their victim-centered approach. Today the Family Justice Centers Alliance was on Capitol Hill to spread awareness and push important legislation to become law.

At the 16th Annual Family Justice Center Capitol Hill Days & Leadership Summit, we are reminded that behind every policy conversation is a person who had to believe tomorrow could be different in order to make it through today.
