During a recent Drug Court proceeding, a client experienced a medical emergency. Officer Young demonstrated exceptional professionalism and compassion by ensuring the client remained safe, calm, and supported while awaiting the arrival of medical personnel. The client later expressed sincere gratitude for Officer Young’s assistance and recognized his efforts. His actions had a meaningful impact and were greatly appreciated. The SDCPOA highlights Officer Young for his extraordinary efforts and service to the community.

In honor of National Corrections Week, the SDCPOA honors Officers Serrano and Delgado, who lost their lives in service to the community. Their sacrifice, dedication, and courage will never be forgotten. May they rest in peace.

VP Limon continues her advocacy work in Sacramento on behalf of the SDCPOA. She met with Assemblymember Chris Ward, Senator Brian Jones, Assemblymember Dr. Darshana Patel, Assemblymember Laurie Davies, and Senator Catherine Blakespear to discuss legislation in probation.
