Reminder: Today is Monthly Siren Testing Day

St. Louis County will conduct its monthly outdoor warning siren test at 11:00 a.m. This is only a test of the outdoor warning system. Sirens are meant to warn people outdoors to move inside and seek additional weather information.

Use today as a quick preparedness check:

• Make sure emergency alerts are enabled on your phone
• Review your safe place at home, work, or school
• Have multiple ways to receive warnings

Even though the sirens won’t sound today, this is still a great opportunity to review your emergency plans and check your preparedness kit. Make sure supplies are stocked, batteries are fresh, and everyone in your household knows what to do in case of severe weather.
