We cannot thank our incredible community enough for your generosity and support throughout this year’s **Fill the Boot campaign benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)!**

Thanks to YOU, we increased our collections by an incredible **57% over last year!** We far exceeded our goals and expectations, and we couldn't have done it without the generosity of our community!

A special thank you to **Dierbergs Markets** for once again welcoming our firefighters and paramedics to collect donations at their storefronts, and to **Oakville High School** for allowing us to collect during a couple soccer games. Your continued support plays a huge role in making this campaign successful!

While our in-person collections have wrapped up for 2026, the important work of supporting individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases and funding research toward treatments and cures never stops.

TODAY IS THE DAY! LET’S FILL THE BOOT!

We’re wrapping up an incredible year of supporting MDA, and we can’t think of a better way to finish than joining our community for one final Fill the Boot event!

Your Mehlville Firefighters & Paramedics will be at Oakville High School TONIGHT during the varsity soccer game, and we can’t wait to see you!

We’ve had an incredible year supporting MDA, and thanks to the generosity of our community, each of our Fill the Boot events has been a success. Now, we’re looking to finish strong with our final MDA event of the year!

$2,233.75 IN 90 SECONDS — MORE THAN A GAME
Ninety seconds. One community. $2,233.75 raised for an incredible cause.

On September 11, Flyers Field was about much more than football and performances as Lindbergh High School hosted our First Responders & Military Appreciation Night. The evening was created as an opportunity for our students, staff and community to come together and recognize the first responders and members of the military who serve our communities and country.

Throughout the night, Flyers Field was filled with special moments of recognition and appreciation. First responders and military members were honored, the Patriot Guard joined us for the evening, and the Metro Air Support helicopter landing on the field to deliver the game ball helped create a memorable experience for our students and families. The night concluded with fireworks lighting up the sky over Flyers Field.

But one of the most meaningful moments of the entire evening lasted just 90 seconds. During the game, our Cheer and Flyerettes program took to the stands for a 90-Second Dash for Cash benefiting The BackStoppers. The stadium responded in a big way, donating $2,233.75 in just a minute and a half!

Today we had the opportunity to continue that experience by visiting our local Mehlville firehouse and officially presenting the $2,233.75 check.

The BackStoppers provides financial assistance and support to the families of fallen and catastrophically injured police officers, firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and publicly funded paramedics and EMTs throughout its Missouri and Illinois coverage area. The organization currently assists more than 100 families and has supported more than 200 families since its founding in 1959.

This is exactly what we mean when we say, "It's More Than a Game." Yes, Friday nights are about competition. They're about our football team, band, cheerleaders, Flyerettes, students and fans coming together under the lights. But they also give us an opportunity to use that platform for something bigger. On 9/11 it was about recognizing those who serve. It was about teaching our students the importance of giving back. It was about bringing our community together. And it also helped our community see just how much good can happen in 90 seconds.

Thank you to every student, parent, staff member, community member and Flyer fan along with Seckman fans who contributed to the Dash for Cash. Every dollar was made possible by your generosity. And most importantly, thank you to our first responders and members of the military for your service, sacrifice and commitment to others.

The Fire, EMS & Dispatch Recruitment Event will be held October 25th from 11 AM–4 PM at the IAFF Local 2665 Union Hall in St. Peters. The event is FREE for anyone 16+ and is a great chance to learn about careers in Fire, EMS, and Dispatch and talk with people already working in the field.
