Before a meal reaches a neighbor's door, a community has already shown up. Food service volunteers prepare and package hundreds of meals each weekday morning, delivery volunteers bring hot and cold meals to clients around midday, and every visit includes a friendly wellness check.

Kitchen shifts at Meals on Wheels of Syracuse generally run from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m., and delivery routes run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on weekdays. There are office and group opportunities too, so there's a role for just about anyone.

It is with great sadness that Meals on Wheels of Syracuse announces the passing of our Director of Case Management Beth Gagnon. Beth has been an honored member of our team for over a decade. Her sense of humor, and her caring nature will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

A new home, the same care, and more room to serve! Meals on Wheels of Syracuse is cutting the ribbon at 307 Gifford Street on Thursday, October 22 from 2:30-4:30 PM, and we'd love for our community to celebrate with us.

This move is about building our capacity, with more space for preparing nutritious hot and cold meals, coordinating volunteers, and staying connected with homebound neighbors across Syracuse.
