Support Your Child.

Most importantly, remind your child: It isn't their fault.

Listen. Believe them. Reassure them that asking for help is the right thing to do.

Help your child stay connected to people and activities where they feel safe, supported and included.

“These results are encouraging, particularly the reduction in the number of students performing at the lowest level in both reading and math. While we have much more work to do, this is a positive step. Our focus remains on ensuring every Kansas student receives high-quality instruction in every classroom, every day, and that schools have the support they need to help students succeed.” - Kansas Education Commissioner Dr. Jake Steel.

The 2025-26 state assessment data for reading and math for grades 3 – 8 and 10th grade can be found on KSDE’s Data Central webpage.

Join us in cheering on Sydney and Viviana, students from the Kansas State School for the Blind (KSSB), as they travel to Washington, D.C. to speak at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Business Solves Conference on Oct. 27!

Last November, these students won the Make48 National Championship, a competition where they had 48 hours to create a prototype for a solution that made food more accessible and nutritious while helping organizations serve their communities.
