This week, members of the Dive Team met at Kiser Lake to train with a new piece of equipment, as well as divers getting dives in and working with shore support personnel on comms and search patterns. The SORT Team generously recieved funds from the VFW Post 4615 of Tipp City to purchase an underwater drone this year. This drone enhances the Team's underwater search capability and allows for safer and faster underwater search. This drone also has a claw that can pick small items up, or can latch on to an object and divers can follow the tag line directly to the object. A metal detector that attaches to the drone was also purchased. The Miami County SORT Team would like to extend our sincere thanks to the VFW Post 4615 for supporting our Team!
