Valentine Road Apartments, located at the corner of the 101 and Victoria (behind Salzers), transformed a former 145-room La Quinta hotel into permanent supportive housing.

Made possible through strong partnerships, the project was funded through a combination of state grants, county loans and grants, city support, Ventura Housing’s own investment, tax credit equity from Enterprise Community Partners , and contributions from the Housing Trust Fund Ventura County.

Built by McCarthy Companies, the project was completed on time and under budget. Residents began moving in last fall, and today over 128 households are already home!

10 years of the Haunted Housing Run/Walk would not have been possible without incredible partners like Josh.

A special thank you to Josh Spiker, President of RaceFox Results, for his dedication to making this event a success over the years. Through his leadership with Mile 126 Running Company, Josh played a key role in managing the run and helping us grow its impact.

Because of partners like Josh, Haunted Housing has raised critical funds for Ventura Housing’s Scholarship Program, supporting brighter futures for our residents.

We are grateful for his partnership and the lasting impact it has made.

Our CEO of Ventura Housing, Jeff Lambert, was recently featured on Civil Dialogues, a Pacific Coast Business Times podcast, where he shares insight on the importance of affordable housing and the real impact it’s making in our community.

From supporting low-income families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness, Jeff highlights what it takes to bring meaningful projects to life like Valentine Road Apartments.

Located at the corner of the 101 and Victoria, this newly completed community transformed a former 145-room La Quinta hotel into permanent supportive housing. The total cost to acquire and renovate the property and bring these units to a livable standard was $77 million.
