During patrol, a Ventura CHP officer observed a pocket bike being operated on a public roadway (Santa Clara Avenue) and conducted an enforcement stop. The pocket bike was towed pursuant to 21721 VC.
Whatβs the takeaway?
While they may be small, pocket bikes create big safety concerns when mixed with regular traffic. They are not designed, equipped, or legal for highway use.

While patrolling the area of US-101 and Seaward Avenue, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration.
Upon closer inspection, officers discovered the driver had taken a very βcreativeβ approach to the vehicleβs registration tabs. Unfortunately, artistic ability does not replace valid registration.
The vehicle was impounded.
Avoid the costly consequences, keep your registration current and your vehicle in compliance before hitting the road.
